The exhibition “Where are the women” is waiting for you at FOKAL and the CCKD
Monday, May 6, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – The launch of the exhibition “ Where are the women “, presented by FOKAL, took place on Friday, April 5 in the gardens Katherine Dunham Cultural Center (CCKD), in Martissant Park . For those who have not yet visited, do not miss a visit to Martissant, the exhibition is displayed until Saturday, October 5, 2019 . She is also at FOKAL, from Tuesday, April 9, until May 9, 2019 .
This educational exhibition, made up of about forty boards, questions the presence of women, Haitians and the rest of the world, in the spaces of power, decision, citizenship. It traces the struggles of women for the respect and guarantee of their fundamentals.
In the two exhibition spaces, the CCKD library and the Monique Calixte Library (BMC) will exhibit books in free consultation, on special tables around the theme of women's rights. A viewing and listening area will also be open to the public to allow the broadcast of videos and audios accompanying the exhibition. Conferences and talks, the dates of which will be communicated later, will allow exchanges and debates with the public on the main themes of the exhibition.
This exhibition, fruit of a collaboration between the Art and Culture and Education Citizen of FOKAL, is carried out within the framework of the project “Access to justice and the fight against impunity in Haiti” (AJULIH), led by Avocats Sans Frontières (CBSA) in partnership with the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation ( FOKAL) .The project is carried out with the support of the Government of Canada through World Affairs Canada.
