Wednesday, April 17, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – After six (6) months of break, literary club Kettly Mars (CLKM) will give a second wind to its various activities on Sunday, April 28 2019.
This first meeting will take place in the club's usual premises, that is to say at the “Collège du petit tout”, located in Sartre 45 in the plain.
Founded in February 2017 by the journalists Ricot Marc Sony and Jean Ronald Montas, the literary club Kettly Mars brings together a range of readers, almost all, academics.
Writing workshops, scenic readings are among others the activities already carried out by the club. Far from ending lonely reading, the club is above all a means of promoting reading and discussing books.
Because most schools in the Cul de Sac Plain area do not have no library, these lovers of belles-lettres decided, with their meager means, to make “Konbit” in order to buy books and to share them between them.
The choice of Kettly Mars as the name of the club is very representative for Ricot Marc Sony. The author of “The Angel of the Patriarch” is a major figure in Haitian literature, always willing to help young people, especially in reading and writing.
In addition, the initiators invite the young people in the plains and neighboring areas to join them. Interested parties may proceed to the club's meeting room to register.
