In a press note published on November 25, 2018, the Association des industries D'Haiti (ADIH) denounces the acts of violence that have reigned over the country for months.
This climate of terror is a real blockage for the country, according to the association which, in this note, presents its different positions on the highlights of the political topicality.
From the outset, the association expresses its disagreement with the opposition which demands the departure of the President of the Republic and argues that the mandate of the elected can not be shortened.
It invites the head of the Government, to continue the investigation on the folder Petro Caribe with a view to the smooth running of the State, in accordance with the wishes of the Haitian constitution.
Later, it does not fail to emphasize the importance of an agreement between the Head of State and the Prime Minister to create more open in the Government, while urging the parliament to co-operate for the proper functioning of the country, free from undue pressure.
The Association therefore encourages the fight against smuggling and the plunder of public funds and stresses the need to to equip the National Police of Haiti with the resources it needs for its mission
Finally, it respects the freedom of expression and the work of the free press. However, it condemns some media that use this freedom to incite violence. As a result, the association urges the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL), the Government and the judiciary to take the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
