Tuesday, May 14, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – The Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) decided to totally ignore the attempt of the Executive to appoint Judge Patrick Rameau to head the Court of Justice. Appeal of Port-au-Prince.
This announcement was made Monday by the director of communication of the council, Me Samuel Baucicaut.
Me Samuel Baucicaut, while expressing the stupefaction of the CSPJ vis-a-vis this irregular step , added that the Council had not issued any notice of appointment to the magistrate.
This position was also mentioned by one of the members of the CSPJ, Mr. Chenet Jean-Baptiste. Speaking on Radio Kiskeya, Jean-Baptiste revealed that the CSPJ had already made a resolution to appoint Judge Norah Amilcar Jean-Francois, as ai president of the Court of Appeal.
