The magnitude 8.0 earthquake recorded Sunday morning in Peru, exactly in Yurimaguas, in the province of Alto Amazonas, in Loreto, caused significant material damage in four regions of the country: Junín, La Libertad, Loreto and Huánuco
Sunday, May 26, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – According to the latest partial report prepared by the National Center for Emergency Operations (COEN) in terms of infrastructure, 186 houses affected, including 87 uninhabitable, 11 schools affected, 2 of which are uninhabitable; 4 affected hospitals, and 2 collapsed and 4 public buildings affected by the earthquake and 2 temples of prayer.
This information reproduced in the Peruvian press, were communicated by Ricardo Seijas, coordinator of the COEN, who informed that the Loreto district, in Yurimaguas, is the city most affected by the earthquake. He further indicated that humanitarian aid will be provided to the affected population of Tarapoto, Yurimaguas and Cajamarca.
