Friday, January 11, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – The 13th edition of the International Jazz Festival of Port-au-Prince (PapJazz) will be held from January 19 to 26, 2019, confirmed Thursday the leaders of the organization of the event.
During a launching press conference held at the Karibe Hotel, Joel Widmaïer, president of the Haiti Jazz Foundation and his colleagues, revealed that this year, about twenty groups from 17 countries will present more than 40 shows in Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haïtien and Jacmel.
The festival will host Spain as a guest of honor and will mobilize 9 international media to allow more than 5 000 000 listeners and viewers to watch the shows, only on the European continent.
This 13th festival will not only set the mood but will also emphasize respect and protection of the environment by inviting the public to u using reusable shopping bags, adopting a tree and buying a 4Ocean bracelet for cleaning the oceans.
The event will also be an important part of the promotion of music training and education in general. Donating a dollar on each ticket sold to College Catts Pressoir, whose staff is assigned to teach music, mainly jazz to students.
