Friday, January 4, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – Less catastrophic than the unusual silence posted on November 18, 2018 while spitting on the illustrious apotheosis of Vertières, the presidency radiated by his blue fear and his hypocrisy on the place of Arms in Gonaïves on the occasion of the 215th anniversary of our independence
The presidency re-offended by slapping again our immortal ancestors on Tuesday January 1st 2019, 215 years after this territory characterized by episodes of horrors (bloodshed, amputation, decapitation) became a romantic space where freedom, love, peace, joy dominated the scenes between Haitian actors who had survived the bloody battle of November 18, 1803.
On the one hand, outdated political maneuvers of unfairly mobilizing groups and “bases” formed the backdrop for this commemoration; on the other hand, the presidential hypocrisy was in full swing.
The trembling articulation and the repeated rubbish in
speech of the first proxies of the nation augur, contrary to the climate of joy, feast and victory that were to reign there, a blue fear that would underlie that the army of Bonaparte severely beaten by our heroes could resuscitate this Tuesday January 1 and decapitate the heads of our disgraceful dignitaries present instead of Weapons.
For their ignorance or incompetence, the presidency and the government Moise-Céant I must have already thrown off the apron for the crime of homeland by ignoring, in good or bad faith, the sacrifices made by our ancestors to bequeath to us the greatest wealth of the civilized world, liberty. These cowards who run the first independent black republic of the world are not the size of the noble mission entrusted to them.
Recounting in his speech that our heroes had incurred enormous risks and that the act of the independence has paved the way for unity, fraternity, we feel that the president has just consented to the effort to read lines that have been proposed to him by advisers who play the game of political politics by taking sons of the Good God for wild ducks. Confusion, incoherence and lack of sincerity are at least the
imprint of this speech which has missed the objective of seeking unity and national harmony.
This is false! We are not all responsible
Contrary to the words of the president, we are not all responsible, far from it.
Exactly there are officials, but there are also culprits and victims. At this point, as the Petrochallenge pilgrimage calls for it, we must be able to identify this year the executioners of our misfortunes, the accomplices and the victims and demand that justice be established. The era of cacophony must come to an end. While the people languish in filthy misery, PetroCaribe, Customs, Airport, FDI,
Ministries, BRH, BMPAD, ONA, Directorates-General, Diaspora remittances have created many “multimillionaires”, to the detriment of health, education, justice, public security in Haiti.
While many leaders flounder in greed, arrogance, mediocrity and dishonesty, there are Haitians who keep their proper posture while respecting the founding values of our
republic. Mr. Chairman, we are not all responsible. Look around your administration, around that of your predecessor, you will discover the responsible, even the culprits; and so take the necessary steps.
You are on the wrong side of the plate, Mr. Chairman. What have we done since 1804? Mr. Chairman, you are not in a position to
ask questions and complain. You hold the noble mandate to lead this people to the right harbor. The people expect concrete answers from you to put money in their pocket, food on their plate by making use of the sun, at our disposal 300 days a year, water and human resources.
Such are the promises, then miraculous, that you have made since your campaign. Do not complain, keep your promises! The resolution of the scourge of poverty, misery, intestinal crises and therefore
the findings of collective failure that you have mentioned are part of your mission, because you are the guarantor of the smooth running of institutions.
During your 2016 presidential campaign, you boldly promised to innovate and correct. Mr. President, where did your sense of innovation go, when are you going to highlight your ability to correct the mismanagement and wrongdoing of the administration of which you are the legitimate heir?
You had identified five problems that block the rise of the only poor country in the hemisphere: corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption! Yet you have admitted to appointing corrupt judges. What credible signal did you give to combat this destructive scourge of development and social justice?
2019: An Electoral Year
The constant renewal of political leaders is a prerogative of democratic societies. That being said, the spotlight is already on the anti-games declared between current and former parliamentarians who already announce the color by appearing in broad daylight with gangs and makers of elected officials.
The stakes are high because many “political animals” can breathe only under the immune oxygen provided by the parliamentary post. The president echoed the usual saying “elections must be free, transparent, honest and democratic”. But, we clearly know that the results of the polls are unfortunately blurred by various actors, according to economic and political “deals” to put on the carpet.
The economic racketeers, the traffickers, the sellers and the buyers of post, the international, all, they are motivated to leave the big game of the negotiations and the unfair collusions to defend their petty interests. Unfortunately, the desiderata of the main actor for whom public policies were to be designed is still locked in the drawers of the oubliette.
Save Us Petrochallenge!
Bad Habits Go Hard, says- we. For decades, poor governance practices have been eating away at our country. This has resulted in loss of life, enormous economic, political and social deficits and irrational choices of our youth in search of a better life. With Petrochallenge, this evil force of corruption, arrogance and mediocrity can find its “plug”.
Sociologists are almost unanimous in admitting that behavioral changes take decades, even centuries before they materialize. On the other hand, thanks to the spontaneous awakening of the Petrochallenge, the Haitian officials (President, parliamentarians, …) made drastic changes by changing the content and the form of their
speeches. If the president ended his speech with a “point bar” in early 2018; in the middle of the same year, he had to do the mea-culpa with the chorus “Nou pale, m tande nou”.
If the senate president squandered the state money by exuberantly leasing a house that he did not even live in; in the middle of the year, he had to retract by canceling this disloyal lease. The sirens, the arrogance, the chelbertures experienced a vertiginous fall; all this thanks to the wonder Petrochallenge. After reviewing and assessing the weaknesses to correct them and its strengths on which to capitalize, Haiti can breathe with the Petrochallenge a new era in 2019.
This noble initiative that originated in the social media for later concretizing on the streets in Haiti and abroad should turn into a vast enlightened movement to guide the nation to make the right choices at the polls. It is time for the forces of life, honest and competent men and women to wake up from their lethargy to combine their reflections, their efforts and present a
sincere, honest and competent political offer to our Haiti, which can not stand it anymore. with political scoundrels.
