Port au Prince, Friday, June 14, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – Insecurity in Haiti reaches its climax. If the prophet Moses crossed the Red Sea with the people of God, Jovenel Moses, for his part, tries to manage his power at all costs by shedding the blood of the innocent people.
The co-owner of Endless Radio (RSF) Rospide Petion was shot dead by gunmen on Monday, June 10, 2019 in Port au Prince, near the Leogane Gate transit station, after his broadcast “Ti Bat Bouch” on RSF.
In less than two years, three journalists are cowardly executed; this is Pierre Michel Vladimir Legagneur killed on March 14, 2018, Jacques Hebri Dubois, April 28, 2018 in Cap-Haïtien and Riospide Petion, assassinated June 10, 2019 in Port au Prince.
The painting is dark, shameful hateful, scandalous and sad. I would say even shocking and disgusting. State massacres in Saline and several disadvantaged neighborhoods of the country. In addition, several dead bodies were identified during the anti-government demonstrations.
Indeed, not only police officers make victims in the civilian population but they too are killed all day long. What's worse, the country has become a jungle, bandits operate in broad daylight in the light of everyone's knowledge. They rape, they steal, they kill, they block, they plunder etc., sometimes in concert with the so-called authorities alas! Citizens are left to fend for themselves. Insecurity is at a very high level.
To all this must be added the inability of the police and justice to seek and prosecute perpetrators and accomplices of crimes.
By cons, the media, the guardians of democracy, are vandalized including Radio Priority FM, in February 2019 in Cap-Haitien, Radio Teleginen, June 9, 2019 in Port au Prince. And individuals broke the windows of Radio Sans Souci FM in Cap Haitien, in the afternoon of June 9, 2019, after the opposition demonstrations in the second city of Haiti. Note that Radio Sans Souci FM relays the 4h news edition of Radio Kiskeya
Journalists are beaten, wounded and executed. Where do we go with this regime of terror?
After all criminal acts in Haiti, the famous sentence: “the investigation continues the investigation concludes”. The question to ask now when are we going to prove to the world that we decide to build a country where it is good to live? As a reminder, we are more than two hundred years of independence.
