According to the protocol, Toussaint Louverture International Airport will be ready to operate on July 06, 2020. Opening before this date is possible provided that additional resources are allocated from time to time.
The protocol for resuming airport activity is clear on this: In the context of protection Haitian citizens, it is necessary to reduce the probability that a symptomatic person (or who has been in contact with one) enters the territory by air. This is achieved through systematic health control actions and monitoring of all passengers arriving in Haiti.
In addition, the Haitian authorities say they have to assure the authorities of the destination countries that the passengers leaving Haiti to their territory have been sanitary controlled according to the rules of the art and that symptomatic cases are detected, confined and treated in Haiti.
