Sunday, August 18, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – In the Dominican Republic, the neighbor of Haiti, the National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE) intends to invest more than 26 billion 410 000 pesos in the school feeding program. Thus, says INABIE, more than 4.6 million daily food rations will be distributed to students during the 2019-2020 school year, which should begin on Monday, August 19th.
One million 883,000 588 food portions will be distributed at breakfast; one million 398 000 rations will be distributed during lunch and 1 398 000 for the snack.
Students' access to free food rations will allow each family to save at least RD $ 8 500. The school feeding program contributes directly to the growth of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship who are the main suppliers of the State through this initiative.
