Workshop on music with the American artist of smooth jazz and gospel Jazmin Ghent
Thursday January 16, 2020 ((rezonodwes.com)) – Taking advantage of his tour in Haiti, the American artist of smooth jazz and gospel Jazmin Ghent will lead a music workshop for musicians who love jazz and gospel. This seminar will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 2:30 to 5:00 in the afternoon at the Evangelical Baptist Church of Pétion-Ville (EBEP ), located at No. 425, Route de Delmas, just before Delmas 95.
On this occasion, Mrs. Jazmin Ghent and her American group will share with the participants some recipes with a view to improving their musical skills. They will also take the opportunity to communicate to them some modern techniques for a better animation of their performances in public.
Jazmin Ghent and his group will make this visit to Haiti at the invitation of the Office of Public Affairs of the Embassy of the States United States of America in Haiti as part of their participation in the 14th edition of the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival.
Maestros of choirs and musical groups, musicians, singers and choristers are invited to take part in these practical sessions. Admission is free . Punctuality required.
Biography of Jazmin Ghent.
Jazmin Ghent is one of the most popular smooth jazz and gospel artists in the United States. In 2017, she was chosen as the BEST NEW SMOOTH JAZZ ARTIST and she received the prestigious “NAACP IMAGE AWARD 2019” award for her exceptional jazz album “The Story of Jazz”.
Jazmin has 4 great titles in mind on Billboard: “Amends”, “Work Wit It”, “Heat” and “Compared to What”. His most requested blockbuster title is “Amends,” which was ranked number 4 on Billboard Charts. Jazmin has performed in various festivals and shows in the United States, Europe and recently during the Dave Koz cruise in 2019 in Australia. In addition to playing, she teaches music in Polk County, Florida to Kindergarten to Grade 5 students.
Jazmin graduated from Florida State University University), and a master's degree from Tennessee State University. His latest CD, “The Story of Jaz” includes collaborations with Philippe Saisse, Kim Scott, James Lloyd and Jeff Lorber. The CD was recorded and produced by Ron Jenkins and Euge Groove at “The Groove House”.
