Friday, October 18, 2019 ((rezonodwes.com)) – The film “Perro Bomba”, directed by Juan Cáceres, is available in alternative venues in Chile since Thursday 3 October.
Produced to serve as a tool of integration and debate, the film makes it possible to understand that all discrimination is arbitrary.
It tells the story of Steevens, a Haitian who has a stable life in Chile until the arrival of Junior, a childhood friend who destabilizes his daily life and forces him to face several problems.
This is the first Chilean feature film featuring an African-American descendant: Steevens Benjamin, a beginner, has however won two prizes as a best actor, at the Malaga Film Festival and at the Latin American Film Festival in Toulouse.
“Perro Bomba” was presented as a world premiere at Miami Festival and has been awarded at competitions in Guadalajara, Malaga, Gramado and others.
