PEPA Education Agency is an educational agency which promotes 2.0 schools in Haiti by 2050. During this pandemic, the team decided to launch a virtual reading contest called Reading at the time of confinement in 120
The contest was officially launched on the agency page on Sunday, May 10. More than 50 young people wanted to participate in the competition but it was the first 30 registrants who had the chance to participate in this wonderful competition. The applicants came from several departments, which made this competition therefore national.
In the first phase of the competition, the applicants were divided into groups of 3, each group comprising 10 people. Each of these groups received a different book by electronic voice where each applicant had to read for 120 seconds. The 2 best readings in each group qualify for the finals.
There were 3 judges, each judging a different group. The method of evaluating candidates was divided into 2 parts, the first, applicants must send a video where they will read the text chosen for them in 120 seconds, this video will go to the members of the jury, where the judges will have to make a judgment on 80 points. The second part, this video will go to the official page of the agency where each applicant invited his friends and family to vote for his video. This part was about 20 points. This gives a total of 100 points. And the two best of each will go to the final.
It was this Wednesday at 8 p.m. that the agency published the results on the contest platform, and made public the 6 finalists.
The 6 finalists are:

6) Stanley MILFRANC
La Final phase of the competition will begin on Sunday May 24 and will end on Sunday May 31. Only 3 of the 6 finalists will win. The first will have 10,000 gourdes, a scholarship and a collection of books, the second 5,000 gourdes and a collection of books, a scholarship and the third, a collection of books and a scholarship.
