Port-au-Prince, November 6, 2018 .- Ocname-Clamé Daméus, Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince, asked the Cental Director of the Judicial Police, Commissioner Joani Canéus, to to pass instructions to the head of the office of the financial and economic affairs to “seek and carry out in state at the prosecutor's office of Port-au-Prince, the following persons: Michaël Lecorps, Eustache Saint-Lot and Patrick Noramé.
The allegations against the latter, through a letter from the Chief of Public Prosecutions, dated November 5, are “concussion, illegal procurement, illegal enrichment, breach of trust, misappropriation of public funds and criminal associations” .
“Such facts are provided for and punishable by Articles 5.1, 5.2, 5.4, 5.5, 5.12 of the Law of 9 May 2014 on the prevention and punishment of corruption, Articles 224, 225 et seq. Of the Criminal Code”, concluded the letter bearing the signature of the Chief of the prosecution, Ocname-Clamé Daméus
Also, it must be remembered that the 3 people pinned in his letter were all Directors General of the Office for Monetization of Development Assistance Programs (BMPAD) under the administrations of former Presidents of the Republic Joseph Michel Martelly and Jocelerme Privert
The names of these former Directors General have been included in the list of persons referred to in the survey reports on the use of PetroCaribe funds.
