Serving Others in the Face of Danger
Since intense political unrest began in Haiti last year,
October 10, 2019 – Haiti
This most recent turmoil A great revolt against the government in place, triggered by fuel shortages and corruption. You would not realize it, but it's not reported in the news, but our employees risk their lives every day to come, in our medical staff and our ambulance drivers. They work 24/7 to ensure the necessary care of our patients. We often use our ambulances to transport our employees
Each day our brave staff is hindered in their transport by road with burning tires. Many protesters are after the subject, but these chaotic circumstances make the situation downright violent. Our staff is sometimes verbally assaulted with slurs. Some protesters even throw stones at our ambulances.
In spite of all this, they are at their lives at risk because of their medical services. Together with the participation and collaboration of everyone, we still believe in a prosperous Haiti. Thank you for your support
