Thursday, October 1, 2020 ((rezonodwes.com)) – The Moise-Jouthe administration adopted on Wednesday in the Council of Ministers a new national budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021, announced Renald Lubérice on Twitter, at less than 5 months from the end of Jovenel Moise's constitutional mandate.
This new budget totaling 254,704,000,001 gourdes provides only for domestic revenue of less than 140 billion gourdes distributed as follows: Domestic Resources 132,612,978,596; Internal Revenue 95,198,532,830; Customs revenue 32,915,785,765; Other domestic resources 4,498,660,000.
The government is counting on the increase in borrowing from the BRH to be able to make ends meet in order to face the current expenditure of the State amounting to more than 136 billion gourdes and expenses of capital of over 118 billion gourdes.
The government also hopes to benefit from an overall budget support of 9,969,675,000 from the international community and project aid estimated at 19,976,500,000.
