Declaration
WE, Haitian women of the April 3 Committee, are here this morning to alert the peoples of Canada and Quebec
On the following facts:
With the support of Canada and other international powers (United States, France, Germany, Spain, United Nations, OAS) the ruling party in Haiti, PHTK through the President of the Republic, Jovenel Moise, has established a climate of terror in Haiti.
His clan, made up of armed gangs, officials and police, rapes, kills, assassinates, burns and loots in working-class neighborhoods.
From April to June 2020, 130 people murdered according to Justice and Peace, including dozens of women . A dozen massacres were organized by armed gangs allied with power, dozens of women are victims. To this must be added that the body of women has become a territory of war (rape, droit de cuissage)
WE, from the April 3 Committee, are alerting Quebec and Canadian public opinion to the following facts: [19659009] Power in Haiti orders crimes and assassinations
The right to life is not respected and impunity reigns and makes the law
Today
Armed gangs have taken hostages inhabitants of lower-income neighborhoods no longer giving them the right to organize their daily life or to claim.
Women and girls are repeatedly raped.
Schoolgirls and schoolchildren are gassed, beaten up during demonstrations, several of them vanish in the streets. A schoolgirl with asthma died with her pomp beside her corpse.
Backed by Canada, a creeping dictatorship is being put in place in Haiti and the Canadian media and human rights organizations here remain silent.
US , of the Committee April 3, denounce this situation and demand that:
Canada stops all support for the power of Jovenel Moise
Canada stops all funding, with our money, of this power which kills through gangs, infants, children, women and men.
WE, April 3 Committee, urge human rights organizations to denounce this climate of terror and the rampant dictatorship in Haiti. Let us urge the Canadian and Quebec press to inform the people of Canada and Quebec as well as the 300,000 Canado-Haitien.n.e. s on the political situation which prevails in Haiti.
WE, of the April 3 Committee, insist on the fact that in this climate of terror instituted by the power in place, women are doubly victims as citizens and as women. [19659006] WE, from the April 3 Committee, ask Canadian and Quebec women to support the struggle led by Haitian women so that their bodies cease to be a territory of war and to support the entire Haitian people in the fight they are waging for life, dignity, AGAINST FOREIGN INTERFERENCE
WE, from the April 3rd Committee, say NO TO DEATH inflicted on hundreds of women and men in Haiti and Yes TO LIFE
Down with Canadian interference in Haiti!
Down with dictatorship and terror in Haiti!
Long live the resistance and the struggle of the Haitian people!
Long live the resistance of Haitian women!
