The country could experience a new shortage of gasoline in the following weeks, according to what the secretary of the National Association of Service Station Owners announced in the Haitian press.
Indeed, the secretary of the National Association of Service Station Owners predicts that in two (2) weeks 90% of service stations will have difficulty ordering gasoline. This situation is the result of a unilateral decision by oil company officials to no longer grant “resturn” to pump owners.

Note that the Haitian government had announced that a new shipment of oil was expected on August 1, 200,000 barrels of diesel and 59,000 barrels of kerosene were to arrive in Port-au-Prince and 800,000 barrels of oil would arrive throughout the month of August.
