The political advisor of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, Guichard Doré, speaking in several media in the capital, rejects out of hand the allegations coming from various sectors of national life suggesting that the Provisional Electoral Council is formed in outside the standards prescribed by the Haitian constitution in force.
Indeed, the political adviser to the head of state, Guichard Doré, refutes the allegations that the new provisional electoral council is constituted in violation of the Haitian constitution. Article 289.2 of the parent law stipulating that in the event of abstention from a sector, the president must fill the vacancy was put forward in Mr. Doré's argument.
Note that political actors and the civil society denounce the decree of September 18, 2020 forming this new CEP for not being in conformity with the Haitian constitution in force nor to be the result of a consensus.
