Diaspora University www.duedx.com, whose platform is 100% online, offers a free Political Leadership and Electoral Campaign Management Course to provide leaders with and Haitian political activists and local development officers, the skills needed to better engage the voting population and to better influence election procedures and results.
The Management of Policies and Electoral Campaigns course is intended for all Haitians who are involved or want to get involved in politics, regardless of their level of study. It consists of 14 modules ranging from awareness, political participation and communication to digital strategy, political culture and community engagement.
This course teaches the student the techniques and effective strategies for conducting an election campaign focused on voter mobilization, bridgehead identification, citizenship training and civic education and development. a policy agenda appropriate to the needs of the targeted communities. In addition, students become familiar with the mechanisms of research on other candidates, the role of agents, the structure of the CEP, the defense of citizens' rights, lobbying, fundraising and polling techniques.
Throughout the course, students are exposed to the inside and outside of the Haitian electoral system namely the composition and mission of the electoral council, the role of political parties and the reason
At the end of this course, students will have tremendous opportunities to excel as campaign directors, communication, finance or logistic managers, and more specifically, they will acquire the knowledge and the skills required to be efficient in campaign organizations.
