Croix des Bouquets, 19 October 2019 – The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) is quick to thank FIFA, CONCACAF and various sectors of the country for helping it to respect certain national and international commitments in these difficult times when the country, like a boat sailing in tumultuous waters, is going through very difficult times.
Thanks to FIFA who, in the face of great uncertainty about the team's good preparation and departure date, in addition to the airfares for a 29-member delegation (players and staff), finally supported the financing of a high-level internship in a large complex in Sao Paolo for a good preparation of the U17 national men's selection in Goianas, Brazil for the final phase of the FIFA U17 BRAZIL-FIFA World Cup 2019; the FHF hopes that, as promised for a long time, the Haitian State will assist the team so that we can face other heavy commitments resulting from this participation in a final phase of the World Cup (sports equipment, medical care and other expenses of stay).
Sincere thanks also to CONCACAF, which facilitated the participation in the Caribbean phase of the men's Olympic qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 (Haiti-Barbados 4-0) and women's Olympics (Haiti- Surinam 10-0 and Puerto Rico-Haiti 0-1) allowing our two teams, Boys and Girls, to qualify for the respective Final Phase (Guadalajara, Mexico Men) at the end of March and women (February 2020, San Jose Costa Rica).
The FHF takes the opportunity to congratulate and to thank the members of the football family who took the great initiative of continuing to give our footballers time to play by organizing Mini-tournaments in their region in the hope of a quick resumption of competition activities, which is the wish of ALL.
The FHF continues to fight to maintain the training and preparation activities of the young talents of the national youth teams to maintain their competitive level if seen the many appointments of the first quarter of 2020 and the obligation for Haiti to maintain its rank of regionally seeded nation in all international competitions; maintaining high-level coaching activities is not without serious concerns, as maintaining more than 656 young people in addition to their coaches (Haitians and Venezuelans) is a difficult task; the FHF also wants to thank those who solicited by our urgent calls and messages of distress have come to bring any form of assistance to the benefit of these young ambassadors of Haiti; a big thank you to the BMPAD (donation of 500 bags of rice 2.5 kilos) to Arcahaie FC and its President Jean Leonard ALL POWERFUL, IZOLAN, very close to these young people and CAMP US (donations of food) and the Violette AC and its Executive Committee (donation of food supplies)
The mission of maintaining young people is very difficult and the FHF appreciates any sign of support and any form of encouragement to the affiliated clubs and their players. CAMP WE WISHING FOR ALL HAITIANS that the country immediately leaves the perimeter of these raging waters in accordance with the mission of sport which is to unite and bring men and women together.
