Venel Saint Fort is only a defensive midfielder and is not recognized as a scorer, but he is the one who scored the 100th goal in history D1 playoffs by scoring Arcahaie FC's second goal on Thursday in a 2-0 win over Real Hope in the semifinals of the season's closing series.
Established during the 2015-2016 season by the FHF, the playoffs so much criticized by more than one in the national championship of D1 give opportunities to some players to engrave their name on this decisive phase leading to the title. While Real Hope striker Nerlin Saint-Vil and Racing FC's Stevenson Guillaume shared the scorers' record with six goals each, Venel just put his name on another side.
Author of his third goal of the season yesterday in the 36th minute, Venel has comforted Arcahaie pending the return match in the lair of the city of the flag but this achievement is simply the 100th in the history of the playoffs.
Note that, the 100 goals were scored in 60 playoff games
