At The Lantana Banquet Hall, Randolph, Massachusetts, United States, on the occasion of Mother's Day in Ayiti on Sunday 26 May 2019, was held the Alumni reunion Gala of about three promotions (96, 97, 98) College Le Normalien (CLN). This institution is located at La Martinière Avenue, Bois-Verna, Port-au-Prince. They came from various horizons, from Canada, Ayiti and other states such as: New Jersey, New York and Florida, to attend this great premiere, in the history of this Temple of to know who rises more, with time, in the medium of classical education in Ayiti . This prestigious school is already in its fifties. The primary idea of such an initiative is to reconnect the elders, with a view to honoring those who have devoted themselves wholeheartedly to founding the NLC, in this case: Mr. and Ms. Bright, respectively Director and Director. They have dedicated their lives to it, and so far they do not intend to retire. At the same time, the aim is to create a network or alumni association for the pooling of skills and experiences after some 20 years of dispersal, despite the limited networks of liaison affinity
It's as if it were yesterday, yet it's been more than 20 years. On ripening faces does not weave any trace of wrinkle. The impression of the footsteps of time, of a sound far from hesitant, tends to dodge all signs of old age but instead packs us frantically in the ineffable adventure of a new youth …, tinged with maturity, the acute sense of responsibility and especially the inexhaustible and invincible desire not to miss the slightest opportunity to enjoy life, the most fully, in the company of those who have had the magic to continue to throb our hearts at this rate uncontrolled, without as much to recheck it. In this phase of the youth of old age, let's say better: from our second youth, time has surprised us in the act of the turmoil of our lives, by a return of age putting us face-to-face with our true “us”, about 20 years ago. Indeed, about 20 years ago, we were in the prime of life, with no limit of energy, both of feeling and acting. We could try everything, without the idea of limiting ourselves in time and space dare to touch anyone. We could dream high, big, far, deep and powerful. Today, here we are all at one level or another of the forties. Admittedly, we feel the weight of the years, without that it does not reach or even less is extinguished in us, the enthusiasm to win back our dearest dreams nor even less to put them in quarantine.
What a joy to find those old loves, those with which our hearts were in love at that time, animated by the purest sentiments, those who had given full meaning to our existence, those who in the depths of life Consistency of our essence have buried their little seed, in silence, in all unconsciousness, without prudence, but with the greatest science of the world, with much complacency and romance.
How many faces disappeared in the mist of years and found in the name of this power that we carry within, despite the wear of time. Over time, we come to understand that the areas of our investments or the direction of our passion are most often the same as those of our success. When life plays us its little torments of torment and upheaval, to the point of undermining our own existence, to our eyes so dear, to the point of having in horror, and the joy and the happiness in nostalgia, it does not we have no choice but to go back to their reconquest, to the source from which we drew them, the last time. And this source to which we had, for the last time, drawn joy, happiness, confidence, comfort and especially the freedom to be ourselves, without the favorable or unfavorable option of others matters to us, it was 'Alma Mater where we had taken our first steps in life, where we were simply brothers and sisters, and had parents disguised as teachers and directors, to guide our steps frail and hesitant towards our preparation, to invest the concreted courts of the life where the learning predominates by practical and real exercises, and consequently, the rectification of the extreme errors, complex, even in precise cases, fatal. However, to the extent that one is animated, in spite of our reality, with the purest feelings, the unconditional gift and the surpassing of oneself, even the most catastrophic fire is rectifiable, just like these reunions after around twenty years. The future belongs to the victors and these winners are neither more nor less than the most capable of love. And love always leads to forgiveness, forgiveness, reconciliation, reconciliation, renewed trust and synchronization, despite differences in vision, to shake hands and move forward.
were awarded to individuals in the group: either for their dedication to the success of such an initiative, or for being noticed in one way or another, throughout the implementation, until the culmination of these great reunions celebrated under the vigilance of Jean Bradley Derenoncourt, Councilor “At-Large”, of the city of Brockton, first foreign national and ayitien to have risen to an elective post in this city as well as that of Mrs. Azor, former professor of Social Sciences and Communication French. In their remarks of circumstance, they did not hesitate to express their joy and their satisfaction with regard to an initiative so praiseworthy which must, in spite of winds and tides, continue to make its merry way. It is with strong emotions that the former teacher, who seems to have discovered the secret and the magic of youth, to the point of appearing even younger than some of these former students, showed a sense of satisfaction for the work done.
It is true that in this first phase of the project, it was only a meeting without too much formality, rather friendly, a simple reunion on the agenda of the Group which, until now, existed only on WhatsApp . Opportunities would be exchanged, according to the occasional remarks of the coordinator of the organizing committee. For example, it is planned to set up a fund-raising campaign for the reconstruction of the premises of the establishment, severely affected by the earthquake of 12 January, without being able to rely on it until now. My greatest dream as an architect is to be the designer and executor of the reconstruction project of this educational center which is the basis of the intellectual and human formation of so many young people. This is one of the first initiatives that we proposed to look into.
The lesson I learned from 1 and Gala reunion of the elders of the College Le Normalien, it is that love, when it is true, always seeks the most plausible excuse for returning to the starting square, in order to rectify the mistakes of the past and to project itself towards a new beginning, with others perspectives, compatible with our essence as individuals in their own right, condemned to live in family, basic unit in society, in turn the pillar of any human community, reached, at a certain moment of the duration, at the stage of people, nation or country.
May these reunions, in their unfailing journey, truly augur the idea that never fades, one day our return to the fold, in order to put back on the rails of development, our Ayiti that n We cherish all and all, and that our daughters and sons born by our exile out of this so wonderful land, can, more and more, consider it as their Alma Mater . May the taste of return reach their souls
Thank you Mrs Azor, for having been with us. Thank you to the promoters of this so commendable initiative. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Bright, to unite around the taste of education. You are now in our c œ urs, immortals.
