Port-de-Paix, Sunday, May 19, 2019.- There are forty, the young people who received the certificate of participation to this first edition of Port-de-Paix in Motion that took place this year from May 12 to 19 under the theme of First Aid (saving actions) and themes related to risk and disaster management.
Happy, the participants expressed their satisfaction with the course of the training and the quality of the trainers' interventions. “That this training continues and that many others are organized for the young people who need it so much” said Marc-Douby Raphael who spoke on behalf of the participants.
The project executive, Antonelly Tony Claude François, hopes that these young people will respect their commitment to return to their respective communities and duplicate the formation.
The Department of North West is very vulnerable to natural disasters, the involvement of young people in prevention measures must be a priority, he said.
Funded by the American Embassy in Haiti and technically supported by the Departmental Technical Coordination of Civil Protection (Nord'Ouest) and the organization Jenès Pozitif Pou Pòtpè, this training project aims above all to endow the municipality of Port- Peace of a summer school with the mission of training young and old.
