This weekend, all the selections that will take part in the 18th edition of the Under-17 World Cup, have unveiled their final list. In the Cameroon camp, 6 players in foreign championship were recaled including the son of Samuel Eto'o namely Stephen, because of a presidential decree. Indeed, he emptied his bag concerning his absence in this list.
His summons in the pre-list seemed something very high in his career but the presidential decree unfortunately ruin everything and despite it was very hard, he can not change the order. In fact, the latter is already starting to turn the page : “I was convinced that this opportunity could be very important in my life after 13 years of football. But what we did not know, my 5 European teammates and myself, is that because of a presidential decree (which I respect but I prefer not to comment), we would not play the World Cup . I will admit that it was very hard but thanks to the support we gave each other, we managed to start turning the page “he said on his account instagram.
The bad waters flowed and Étienne is grateful to all those who took care to send him messages of support: “I want to thank mainly my mother for everything she did for me and for everything the support she gave me, my family in general, my friends and everyone who took a few minutes to send me messages of support. It is an honor for me to have represented Cameroon throughout these two weeks. I want to say a big thank you to the Federation for convening me and the technical staff, “ published Etienne Eto'o.
