The Association of Spirit Games of Haiti which is based in the Central Plateau and which has the habit of organizing several inter-school tournaments in this region, saw the success of its first team competition on Saturday where 16 players from Lascahobas, Hinche and Mirebalais participated, and in the end it was the local team, Mirebalais who was crowned.
Players from these 3 cities with the principle of 4 by teams, created the atmosphere, at the Gawou Ginou School, where they had gathered for this tournament which was played in four disciplines: Chess, Ladies- 64, Scrabble and Go because of three rounds per team in each selected game. Host, Mirebalais, had the privilege of standing with two teams (A and B), unlike Lascahobas and Hinche.
With Presmade Well-Beloved in his rank as international player of Ladies-64, Hinche had gone favorite, but Team A de Mirebalais, made up of athletes like Yves Valdo Clerveaux, captain, johnky Desulmé, Boothros Hilaire and Lintz Bernardo, overturned the Hinchois in all 4 disciplines totaling 7.5 points overall in the 12 rounds with a record of 5 wins, 5 draws and only 2 losses. Hinche took the second place with 7 points totaling 5 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats in the various games.
Lascahobas snatched the 3 e place to the B team of Mirebalais who, n ' realized that 3.5 points in the standings with an addition of 6 points: 3 wins, 6 draws and three defeats.
It's a good start for this new team competition of the Association of Spirit Games of Haiti the aim of which is to promote brain sports
Note that the champion team won 7,500 gourdes while its two chasers 5,000 and 3,500 gourdes respectively.
